Port forwarding is a function of network routers that allows a user to configure specific communication ports to be routed to devices on an IP (Internet Protocol) network, such as a computer, DVR, or IP camera. To configure port forwarding for a surveillance DVR, you will configure your router to forward incoming Internet requests on the port that the DVR uses to be routed / forwarded to the DVR. This enables you to access your DVR remotely over the Internet. The below network diagram illustrates a typical home or business network setup that includes a surveillance DVR. In the above network diagram, start in the upper left to at the remote viewing computer to understand. The computer makes a request using the gateway IP address of your network, or the host name that you setup to using dynamic DNS. Notice on the end of the URL there is a ":5400". This is the port that the DVR in this example is using. The default port of your stand alone DVR or Geovision DVR computer, IP camera, or other network device will vary. In this example we use port 5400. Again, the actual port that you use will vary according to which DVR or network camera that you are setting up. That IP request travels through the Internet and the dynamic DNS service that you setup (with dyndns.com) translates the hostname, in this example my DVR.dyndns.org, to the IP address that your Internet service provider (ISP) assigned to your cable or DSL modem (78.123.344.22 in the above example). Your cable or DSL modem sends the request to your network router. This is likely a typical Dlink, Netgear, or LinkSys wired or wireless router. Your router asks itself what do I do with requests that come in on port 5400? If you have your router properly configured to forward those requests to your surveillance DVR, everything will work OK

What is 960H?

960H is the latest video resolution used by analog CCTV camera surveillance systems. The “H” in 960H stands for “horizontal” and 960 is the number of horizontal pixels in the video resolution. 960H is 960 x 480 video resolution. Unlike the generation of CCTV cameras and DVRs before 960H became a standard, 960H uses the 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio which makes it more suitable for use with modern widescreen format monitors and HDTVs. Almost all of modern monitors are 16:9 aspect ratio.

What resolution was used in CCTV before 960H?

Before 960H cameras and DVRs were available, the most popular video standard for CCTV systems was D1 resolution. D1 resolution is 720 x 480 pixels, sometimes D1 is 704 x 480 pixels. Notice that the width of the picture is wider when comparing 960H to D1, but the height is the same. D1 resolution uses a 4:3 aspect ratio which was much more popular 10 years ago, before the advent of widescreen monitors and high def television. CIF resolution (also shown in the top image on this page) is 360 x 240 (sometime 352 x 240). It is basically half the size of D1 and also uses the 4:3 aspect ratio. CIF resolution is typically used when bandwidth or recording hard drive space is limited.

Do 960H cameras provide more video coverage than D1 cameras

No. The angle of view / view-able area covered by a security camera is determined by the size of the lens and the size of the image sensor (the electronic chip that actually captures the image). Almost all CCTV cameras use a 1/3 inch image sensor. This includes 960H and D1 format cameras. Lens sizes do vary. In the above images, a 3.6mm lens was used. Notice that although the 960H image is wider than the D1 image, the angle of view is the same. The wider format image does not mean that a wider angle of view is captured. It just means that more pixels were used and the picture is wider.

How do I know if a CCTV camera is 960H resolution

It is easy to confirm if a CCTV camera is 960H resolution by looking at the technical specification of the camera. Typically, there is a section in camera spec that documents the effective resolution of the camera in pixels. If the resolution width is 960 pixels or greater and the height is 480 pixels or greater, the camera is 960H. Below is a snapshot taken from the specification of a 960H camera.

Most CCTV cameras that are 960H resolution are 650 TVL or greater. TVL stands for television lines and is a another way to measure the resolution of analog cameras. You should not assume that all 650TVL or 700TVL cameras are 960H. In some cases, the image sensor of a 700TVL camera is not actually capable of capturing 960 x 480 pixels. You should always go by the effective pixels on the camera’s spec.

How can I use the new 960H format

In order to full take advantage of the 960H format in video surveillance applications, you should use both a 960H camera and a 960H DVR.

The DVR actually supports full 1080p monitor resolution, but unfortunately the video capture card that we used to grab this image only supports 720p resolution. Can I use 960H cameras with a D1 DVR

Yes. Actually, 960H resolution cameras were available in the market before 960H DVRs were available. CCTV camera resolutions seem to always advance before DVR resolutions catch up. When you use a 960H camera with a D1 resolution DVR, the image is simply compressed by the DVR to fit the maximum resolution that the DVR supports. No view of the image is lost. The image as a whole is just shrunken down to fit. It makes sense for customers shopping for new CCTV cameras to purchase 960H cameras even if they do not plan on updating their DVR to 960H right now. When the time comes to replace their DVR, they will already have cameras that take advantage of the wider format resolution.

Can I use my older non-960H cameras with a 960H DVR

Yes. This is also a typical scenario. Many customers have existing CCTV cameras that are not 960H but provide a perfectly good picture that they are happy with. D1 / 4:3 apect ratio CCTV cameras will work fine with 960H DVRs. The DVR simply stretches the width of the image to fit the 960H resolution. This stretch is not drastic and most people do not even notice. 960H DVRs are backward compatible with non-960H cameras.

Do 960H and D1 cameras use the same cable

Yes, the same coax cable (typically RG59) is used for both 960H and D1 CCTV cameras. The same BNC video connectors are also used. The only differece is the size of the image that they capture. All of the same wiring can be used.

How does 960H compare to HD CCTV - HD-SDI

Although 960H cameras and HD-SDI cameras use the same type of coaxial cable (RG59 or RG6), they are two very different technologies. HD-SDI is a digital video signal and can support much higher resolutions than analog CCTV. HD-SDI cameras require HD-SDI recorders and support full 1080p video resolution. Most users of surveillance systems want to be able to view their cameras remotely over the Internet.  In order to do this, a high speed Internet connection must be available both at the location of the surveillance system and the location where the user wants to view the cameras remotely from.  If you have a cable or DSL Internet connection, your Internet service provider (ISP) may be assigning your Internet connection a static or dynamic IP address.  This article will first discuss what the difference is between the two and then how it affects installing a surveillance system with remote viewing capability.

• Static IP Address – A static IP address is used when your ISP always assigns your cable or DSL modem (your Internet connection) the same IP address every time the modem connects to the Internet service.

• Dynamic IP Address - A dynamic IP address is used then your ISP may change your IP address anytime you connect to the Internet

When installing a business or home surveillance system including a network-able DVR, it is important to know whether you have a static or dynamic IP address if you intend on using the network / Internet capability of the DVR.  The networking functionality of the DVR allows you to make a remote connection to your DVR over the Internet so that you can control the system and view your security cameras remotely.

If you have a static IP address at the location of your DVR, you can always connect to your surveillance system remotely using the same IP address.  If you have a dynamic IP address, things are a little bit more complicated because you never know when your IP address is going to be changed by your ISP.  In order to keep track of any changes to the dynamic IP, you will likely want to subscribe to a dynamic DNS service (DDNS) that keeps track of it for you.  The most popular DDNS service is dyndns.com and lucky for everyone, it is a free service.

When you register with a DDNS service, you can create a host name, for example something like “mydvr.ddns.org”, just like the domain names and hostnames that you use to access a website on the Internet.  You then associate that host name with the IP address of your Internet service connection.  One way this can be done is by using a router that supports DDNS.  Most routers on the market do. Log into your router and locate the DDNS setup screen.  The location will vary by router manufacturer.  Enter your DDNS account settings, including your login, password, and the host name that you registered.  Now, anytime your router detects that your IP address has changed from your ISP, the router will notify the DDNS service about the change by telling it what your new IP address is.  This allows you to always use the hostname that you registered to connect to your DVR remotely over the Internet.  There is no need to remember or keep track of your IP address

امروزه دستگاه های DVR امکان دیدن تصویر هم زمان از دوربین های مداربسته را فراهم نموده و استفاده از دستگاه های کواد منسوخ گردیده است با وجود این می توان برای ایجاد یک سیستم مدار بسته آنالوگ ارزان قیمت از دستگاه کواد استفاده نمود در این صورت دوربین های مدار بسته را (با چهار دوربین) به دستگاه کواد متصل نموده و خروجی آن را به طور مستقیم به نمایشگر آنالوگ وصل نمایید با آن که هزینه های این سیستم بسیار کاهش می یابد اما از مزیت ضبط تصاویر دوربینهای مدار بسته که در DVR وجود دارد محروم خواهند شد.

دوربین های مدار بسته پلاک خوان از جمله دوربین های مدار بسته ای هستند که در محل های مورد نیاز که عموما ثبت ورود و خروج خودرو حائز اهمیت می باشد نصب گردیده که با امکان ضبط این تصاویر، می توان به این مهم دست یافت اولین خصوصیت مهم این نوع از دوربین های مدار بسته، در رزولوشن تصویری بالای آنهاست، در واقع هر چقدر وضوح تصویر و رزولوشن بالاتری در اختیار باشد، امکان رویت و خواندن پلاک خودروها با وضوح بیشتری امکان پذیر خواهد بود (مقاله دوربین مدار بسته آنالوگ مطالعه گردد) در صورتی که از دوربین مدار بسته آنالوگ برای خواندن پلاک خودروها استفاده گردد، امکان دسترسی به رزولوشن بیش از 720TVL امکان پذیر نخواهد بود. که این رزولوشن 720TVL تقریبا برابر 0/5 مگاپیکسل در سیستم اندازه گیری دیجیتال خواهد بود که رزولوشن نسبتا پایینی محسوب می شود. با این وجود دوربین های آنالوگ با کیفیت خوب در زاویه 75 درجه با لنز 3-6 mm تا فاصله ۳متری امکان رویت پلاک را فراهم می کنند. برای افزایش بُرد پلاک خوانی در دوربین های مدار بسته آنالوگ می توان از لنزهایی با فاصله کانونی بالاتر استفاده نمود بدین شکل زاویه دید شما کمتر شده و در مقابل عمق دید بیشتری فراهم می گردد. برای مثال با یک لنز 12 mm زاویه دیدی ۲۵ درجه ای خواهیم داشت اما امکان پلاک خوانی تا برد ۱۰متری برای شما فراهم خواهد شد.

اما پلاک خوانی در دوربین مدار بسته IP تحت شبکه با توجه به رزولوشن بالاتر و مناسب آنها به مراتب بهتر خواهد بود که با برد مناسب آن برای پلاک خوانی ایده آل خواهد بود.

دوربین های مدار بسته پلاک خوان می بایست از قابلیت WDR برخوردار باشند. این مکانیزم کمک بسزایی در جلوگیری از تأثیرات منفی ضدنور در دوربین مدار بسته ایفا می کند. از آنجایی که دوربین های مدار بسته رویت پلاک در معرض نور شدید خودروها هستند استفاده از چنین ویژگی بسیار با اهمیت می باشد. خصوصیت دید در شب IR فیزیکی دیگر از خصیصه های لازم برای این نوع از دوربین ها می باشد که باید توجه داشت برد دید در شب دوربین مداربسته باید طوری انتخاب گردد که در حد پلاک خوانی دوربین مداربسته باشد. یکی دیگر از ویژگی های مهم انتخاب این سیستم باید در اختیار داشتن یک دستگاه ضبط کننده DVR با کیفیت مناسب باشد که تأثیر بسزایی در ضبط تصاویر با کیفیت بالا در فرمت های D1 یا WD1 با ۲۵ فریم در ثانیه جهت بازبینی تصاویر ضبط شده خواهد داشت.

هارد دیسک (Hard Disk) یکی از با اهمیت ترین اجزای تشکیل دهنده یک دوربین مدار بسته می باشد. کلیه تصاویر که از طریق دوربین به دستگاه DVR منتقل می گردد بر روی هارد دیسک ذخیره می شود. در واقع کیفیت مناسب هارد دیسک انتخابی در عملیات ذخیره سازی و بازیابی تصاویر دوربین های مدار بسته نقش بسیار مهمی داشته و بازیابی مناسب تصاویر ضبط شده از مهم ترین فاکتورها در جلب رضایت مشتری به شمار می رود. در مقابل، انتخاب نادرست هارددیسک و عدم ذخیره سازی تصاویر در مواقع مورد نیاز بازبینی توسط مشتری باعث بروز مشکلات بسیاری خواهد شد

در DVRهای قدیمی برای ذخیره سازی تصاویر از هاردهای IDE استفاده می شد که به دلیل محدودیت حافظه، مدت زمان ضبط تصاویر پایین بود و امروز در DVRهای جدید که از هاردهای SATA پشتیبانی می کنند، به دلیل افزایش حجم ذخیره سازی، می توان مدت زمان بسیار طولانی تری، تصاویر ویدئویی دوربین ها را در حافظه ذخیره سازی نمود در محیط هایی که مدت زمان ذخیره تصاویر بیشتری را خواستارند، ظرفیت هارددیسک از پارامترهای بسیار مهم به شمار رفته که انتخاب دستگاه DVR مناسب دارای ظرفیت پشتیبانی بیشتر هارد دیسک را به دنبال خواهد داشت امروزه به طور متداول از هاردهایی با ظرفیت 500گیگابایت و 1 و 2 ترابایت در دستگاه هایDVR  استفاده می گردد اما می توان با انتخاب دستگاه هایی با ظرفیت بالاتر حتی تا 16 ترابایت نیز جهت ذخیره سازی از هاردها استفاده نمود. معمولا همواره تهیه هارد دیسک هایی با ظرفیت های بالاتر از مقدار مورد نیاز موجود، تصمیمی عاقلانه خواهد بود زیرا با توجه به افزایش ظرفیت هارد دیسک به ظرفیت بالاتر، قیمت آن به همان اندازه افزایش نخواهد یافت به طور مثال در افزایش مقدار ظرفیت از1 ترابایت  به 2 ترابایت به میزان 1 ترابایت (1000GB)  افزایش فضای ذخیره سازی را در اختیار خواهیم داشت اما بهای پرداختی ما به التفاوت این افزایش هیچگاه به دو برابر شدن قیمت آن نخواهد انجامید. سرعت گردش و دوران صفحه دیسکت موجود در هارد دیسک ها یکی از پارامترهای مهم در انتخاب هارد دیسک ها می باشد. به طور مثال حداقل سرعت دور در دقیقه این دیسک ها 5400دور یا 5400 تا7200 دور در دقیقه می باشد. هرچه سرعت دوران یک هارد دیسک بالاتر باشد امکان سرعت ذخیره و بازیابی اطلاعات افزایش خواهد یافت لذا در صورتی که از دوربین های با کیفیت و DVRهای مناسب تری بهره مند باشید استفاده از هارد دیسک های با دور بالاتر بسیار مناسب تر خواهد بود. سرعت اینترفیس:

حداقل (SATA 1/5 GB/S or SATA 3gh/s) می باشد و مناسب تر (SATA 3gb/s or SATA 6gb/s) و حداکثر (SATA 6GB/S) است و در واقع اگر بخواهیم بدانیم که یک اینترفیس سریع تر واقعا چیست؟

می توان گفت که متوسط سرعت جستجو (برحسب میلی ثانیه) به سرعت پیدا نمودن اطلاعات (در یک بخش خاص از داده ها) در یک داریو اطلاق می شود. اکثر کاربران در زمان انتخاب هارد دیسک به موضوع فوق توجهی نکرده در صورتی که این موضوع در سرعت و بازخوانی مطالب از درجه اهمیت بسیار بالایی برخوردار است. مطلب مهم دیگری که در اینجا به آن می پردازیم توضیحاتی در مورد بافر می باشد. بافریک حافظه CACHE بر روی داریو بوده که به طور موقت اطلاعات در آن ذخیره شده تا پس از پردازش به حافظه اصلی انتقال یابد اندازه بافرها حداقل (16 مگابایت)، پیشنهادی (32 مگابایت و 64 مگابایت) و حداکثر (64 مگابایت) و داریوهایی با بافر بالاتر نیز وجود داشته که برای مصارف خاصی مورد استفاده قرار می گیرنداز عوامل موثر در انتخاب هارد مناسب جهت نصب در دستگاه های DVR می توان به تعداد دوربین های مداربسته نصب شده، سیستم فشرده سازی تصویر، رزولوشن تصویر، کیفیت تصاویر ضبط شده و تعداد فریم مورد نیاز در ثانیه برای هر دوربین مدار بسته می باشد. میزان کمترین فریم در ضبط تصاویر دوربین مداربسته، یک فریم در ثانیه و حداکثر ضبط تصاویر در 25 فریم در ثانیه صورت می گیردهرچه تعداد فریم ها در ثانیه بالاتر باشد تصاویر ضبط شده در دستگاه DVR واقعی تر و از وضوح بیشتری برخوردار خواهد بود.

در پایان یادآوری چند نکته بسیار مهم برای بازدهی بهتر و طول عمر بیشتر هارد دیسک ها را متذکر می شویم. باید گفت هرچه محل نصب هارد دیسک ها خنک تر باشد کارایی آنها بهتر بوده و در افزایش طول عمر آنها نیز موثر خواهد بود و در هنگام نصب هارد و قرار گرفتن دستگاه DVR، حتما می بایست دستگاه و هارد به صورت کاملا افقی قرار گیرند زیرا اگر هارد یا دستگاهی که هارد در آن تعبیه گردیده به صورت مایل به عمود قرار گیرد با فرض سرعت بالای دیسک موجود در هارد (حداقل ۵۴۰۰ دور در دقیقه) و اثرگذاری قدرت جاذبه زمین بر روی آن، به مرور زمان با چرخش زیاد، دیسک از محوریت در مرکز خارج شده (در اصطلاح تاب برداشته) و باعث از بین رفتن هارد و اطلاعات بر روی آن می گردد.

تا حالا چیزی در مورد HDCVI شنیده اید؟ توضیح اینکه:.HDCVI مخفف HIGH DEFINITION COMPOSITE VIDEO INTERFACE است. HDCVI تکنولوژی انتقال ویدئویی است که به طور حتم توانایی باز کردن دریچه جدیدی در جهان سیستم های امنیتی را دارا می باشد. این تکنولوژی جدید تقریبا در بسیاری موارد مشابه هر سیستم دوربین مدار بسته دیگری است و حتی عملکرد بهتری نیز دارد. داشتن یکی از این سیستم ها می تواند چاره کار شما باشد.

اگر این برای شما کافی نیست، مثلا شما همین الان یک سیستم آنالوگ دارید و می خواهید دوربین های HDCVI را قبل از خرید DVR HDCVI امتحان کنید. این دوربین ها این توانایی را دارند که روی سیستم های آنالوگ نیز اجرا شوند. یک سیم بنفش و سیاه متصل به قسمت پشت دوربین مدار بسته وجود دارد هنگامی که به هم پیچیده می شوند به دوربین این اجازه را می دهند تا روی یک DVR آنالوگ نمایش داده شوند. بنابراین HDCVI یک راه حل اختیاری برای مصارف با کیفیت بالا می باشد.

هر دوی سیستم های HDCVI و HDSDI توانایی ارسال و دریافت سیگنال HD در 720P را دارند. با اینکه این موضوع ممکن است درست باشد که HDCVI برتری بزرگی در این حوزه دارد. برای بحث اجازه دهید بگویم که فاصله انتقال HDSDI ۱۰۰متر یا نزدیک به 350 فوت است. امروزه HDCVI بر HDSDI به طور کامل غلبه کرده است، فاصله انتقال HDCVI حدود ۵۰۰متر یا ۱۶۰۰ فوت می باشد. منظور من است که فاصله این دو بیشتر از یک تفاوت ساده است.این ۵ برابر فاصله ای است که می توان دوربین ها را قرار داد. این امر نه تنها انتخاب های شما برای جاسازی و نصب دوربین مدار بسته را افزایش می دهد بلکه گرینه های جایگذاری DVR را هم افزایش می دهد تا از سرقت و آسیب دیدن در امان باشد. مقایسه میان سیستم های IP و HDCVI نیز نتیجه مشابهی می دهد. سیستم های IP عالی هستند و بهترین کیفیت را دارند اما باید برای آنها هزینه بیشتری نیز بپردازید. در سیستم های IP دوربین ها نیاز به سوئیچ هایی دارند تا تمام آنها به شبکه متصل شوند و سپس توسط یک کابل به NVR برگردند. با نگاه به سیستم IP می توانید دریابید که چه مشکلات و تأخیری می تواند به وجود بیاید. اگر می خواهید NVR را به شبکه متصل کنید تا بتوانید آن را از راه دور نمایش دهید باید کابلی را به همان سوئیچ و دوربین برسانید که این شلوغی کار را بیشتر می کند. با HDCVI هر دوربین از یک کابل استفاده می کند که به DVR می رسد که این امر هر دوربین را ایزوله می کند (مشکلات پیش آمده برای هر دوربین تأثیری روی دیگر دوربین ها ندارد.) بنابراین سیستم های HDCVI قابلیت اطمینان بیشتری دارند؛ در عین حال که کیفیت یکسان و قیمت پایین تری نسبت به سیستم IP دارند.

فناوری HDCVI هم از دوربینهای HDCVI وهم HDCVI DVR استفاده می کند و زمانی که با هم به عنوان یک سیستم کار می کنند هوشمند به نظر میرسند. آپشن های دوربینها با توجه به فاز راه اندازی محدودند اما با افزایش نیازها لنز های چند کانونی PTZ صدا و رزولوشن نیز افزایش یافته است. DVR مانند هر DVR دیگری که با کابل کواکسیال کار می کند تنها توانایی انتقال یک سیگنال را دارد. مانند دوربینDVR ها نیز به یک تعداد محدودی کانال و فضای ذخیره سازی مجهز هستند اما رفته رفته می تواندد فضای ذخیره سازی بزرگتر، کانال های بیشتر و رزولوشن بیشتر را دارا شوند. فناوری HDCVI می تواند به صورت دوگانه نیز به کار برده می شود به ترتیبی که میتوان از دوربین های HDCVI به همراه دوربین مدار بسته تحت شبکه IP استفاده کرد تا از مزایای هر دوی این ها استفاده نمود.

ویژگی دیگری که HDCVI را نسبت به HDSDI و آنالوگ برتری می دهد این است که نه تنها می تواند سیگنال ها را دریافت کند بلکه می تواند ارسال سیگنال را به صورت دو مسیره انجام دهد. در واقع در انتقال چند سیگناله با استفاده از یک کابل، مخابره هر دو سیگنال صوتی و داده دو مسیره در BLANKING ZONE هماهنگی با سیگنال ویدئویی را افزایش می دهد. کانال های ارسال و برگشت اطلاعات در فریم BLANKING ZONE، انتقال END-TO-END را میسر می کنند. به زبانی ساده تر فناوری است که به شما اجازه دسترسی به کنترلر OSD را از DVR میدهد. این امر به شما این اجازه را می دهد که دوربین را نمایش دهید و از طریق DVR عملیات دوربین مدار بسته نظیر فوکوس، حرکت دادن، کج کردن و زوم کردن و آلارم را انجام دهید. همچنین داده های خروجی از سرعت انتقال بالایی بهره می برند چنان که زمان ارسال و سرعت انتقال سیگنال الکتریکی قابل پیش بینی باشد. در زمانی که این کارها در حال انجام است، دستگاه انتهایی دریافت کننده عملکرد بالایی دارد. برخلاف آن داده های خروجی بازگشتی به خاطر فرکانس سیگنال پایین تر و داده های محدودتر، سرعت انتقال پایین تری دارند که این امر به خاطر تطابق امپدانسی است. با این حال کانال بازگشت در انتقال های با مسافت طولانی می تواند تا حدودی سیگنال های الکتریکی را ذخیره کند.

هزینه در HDCVI نسبت به فناوری های دیگر مانند HDSDI و IP به طور قابل ملاحظه ای پایین تر است. در فناوری HDSDI شما کیفیت یکسان با HDCVI را با ۳-۴ برابر قیمت خواهید داشت. دلیل این امر (گرانی HDSDI) هزینه ساخت بالای این فناوری است. فناوری IP در چند سال اخیر توانسته به طور ملاحظه ای این قیمت زیاد را کم کند اما باز هم نسبت به HDCVI گران محسوب می شود. فناوری HDCVI نسبت به IP برتری دیگری نیز دارد. اگر شما یک سیستم آنالوگ داشته باشید می توانید کماکان از سیم های این سیستم برای HDCVI استفاده کنید که این امر هزینه ها را کاهش می دهد. همچنین اسفاده از سیم های موجود این امکان را به شما می دهد که بتوانید PTZ یا صدا را در مکان ها که می خواهید داشته باشید.
